Day 1

Arrive Paro – Thimphu Sightseeing

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide and driver. Enjoy the scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, located 54 km away, which takes about an hour. Along the way, you'll be captivated by the lush green landscapes and picturesque villages. Once in Thimphu, you'll start your sightseeing with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, a monument built in honor of the third King of Bhutan. Continue to the Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress and monastery housing the government offices and the king’s throne room. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the bustling streets of Thimphu and explore local handicrafts at the crafts bazaar. Your hotel in Thimphu awaits for a restful night.

Day 2

Thimphu Sightseeing

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and prepare for a full day of exploration in Thimphu. Visit the Buddha Dordenma, a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue that offers panoramic views of the valley. Next, head to the Folk Heritage Museum, which provides insight into Bhutanese rural life and traditions. The National Textile Museum will introduce you to Bhutan's rich textile arts. Don’t miss the Motithang Takin Preserve to see the national animal, the takin. For some fresh air and a bit of exercise, hike to the Tango Monastery, a serene spot with beautiful views. End your day with a visit to the Centenary Farmers Market, where you can witness the vibrant local trade of fresh produce and handicrafts.

Day 3

Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Punakha, 76 km away, which takes approximately two hours. En route, stop at Dochula Pass (3,100 meters), where you can enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range and see the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit the Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, known for its intricate architecture and historical significance. After lunch, take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to Drukpa Kunley, the "Divine Madman." Spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Punakha.

Day 4

Punakha – Wangdue Phodrang – Gangtey Sightseeing

Start your day with a drive to Wangdue Phodrang, where you can visit the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and explore the local market. Continue your journey to the picturesque Phobjikha Valley, home to the Gangtey Monastery and the endangered black-necked cranes that migrate here in winter. At an altitude of 3,000 meters, Gangtey offers breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. Take a leisurely walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, which provides an excellent opportunity to experience the valley’s natural beauty and spot some wildlife. Day 5

Gangtey – Trongsa Sightseeing – Bumthang

After breakfast, drive to Trongsa, a historic town situated 156 km away, a journey of about five hours. Visit the Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan, which plays a crucial role in the country’s history. Explore the nearby Ta Dzong, a watchtower that now houses a museum showcasing Bhutanese artifacts and historical relics. Continue your drive to Bumthang, known as the spiritual heartland of Bhutan. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax for the evening, soaking in the serene atmosphere of the Bumthang Valley.

Day 6

Bumthang Sightseeing

Today, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Bumthang. Visit Jakar Dzong, known as the "Castle of the White Bird," which offers stunning views of the valley. Explore Kurjey Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s most sacred monasteries, where Guru Rinpoche is said to have left his body imprint. Continue to Jambay Lhakhang, a 7th-century temple with a fascinating history. Take a leisurely walk to Tamshing Lhakhang, home to ancient religious paintings and traditional Bhutanese art. In the afternoon, visit the Swiss Farm, known for its cheese, honey, and apple products. End your day with a relaxing stroll through the charming town of Bumthang.

Day 7

Bumthang – Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, take a short but scenic mountain flight back to Paro, which takes approximately 25 minutes (The flight ticket may be bought by the tourists or included in the packages). Upon arrival in Paro, visit the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the Ta Dzong, offering a fascinating glimpse into Bhutan’s history and culture. Explore the Paro Rinpung Dzong, a magnificent fortress-monastery that also serves as the administrative center of the Paro district. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk through the quaint town of Paro, where you can shop for souvenirs and experience the local way of life. Overnight in Paro.

Day 8

Paro Sightseeing – Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Today, embark on an unforgettable hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), perched on the edge of a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The hike is approximately 7 km round trip and takes about four hours. As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with spectacular views and the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. Take your time to explore the monastery, where legend has it that Guru Rinpoche meditated in the 8th century. After descending, visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Return to your hotel in Paro for a well-deserved rest.

Day 9

Paro – Departure

After breakfast, your Bhutanese adventure comes to an end. Your guide will escort you to Paro International Airport for your departure flight. As you bid farewell to this enchanting kingdom, take with you memories of the breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural experiences, and the warm hospitality of the Bhutanese people. Safe travels!
