Day 1

Arrive Paro – Thimphu Sightseeing

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly guide who will assist with the transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The scenic drive to Thimphu will take you through picturesque valleys and quaint villages, offering a glimpse of Bhutan’s serene landscapes.

Once in Thimphu, embark on a city tour starting with the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Explore the majestic Tashichho Dzong, a fortress and monastery that houses the throne room of His Majesty, the King of Bhutan. Visit the Buddha Dordenma, a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue that offers panoramic views of the Thimphu valley. Conclude your day with a visit to the bustling local markets where you can shop for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day 2

Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing – Thimphu

Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. En route, you will cross the Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where you can enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range and visit the 108 memorial chortens known as Druk Wangyal Chortens.

Upon arrival in Punakha, visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful and significant dzongs in Bhutan, strategically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Explore the intricate architecture and serene courtyards of this historic fortress. Afterward, take a short hike to the Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley, famously known as the Divine Madman.

After a fulfilling day of sightseeing, return to Thimphu for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Thimphu – Paro Sightseeing


After breakfast, depart for Paro. Upon arrival, visit the Paro Dzong, also known as Rinpung Dzong, a majestic fortress and monastery with a rich history. The dzong overlooks the Paro Valley and offers breathtaking views.

Continue your exploration with a visit to the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower. The museum showcases a vast collection of artifacts that illustrate Bhutan's cultural heritage. Next, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, believed to have been built in the 7th century.

Spend the rest of the day strolling through Paro town, immersing yourself in the local culture and lifestyle.

Day 4

Paro Sightseeing – Tiger’s Nest Monastery

 Today, you will experience one of the highlights of your Bhutan trip – a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery). This sacred site clings to a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley and is one of Bhutan's most revered pilgrimage sites.

The hike to Tiger’s Nest is a moderate trek that takes approximately 4 hours round trip. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful pine forests adorned with prayer flags and small shrines. Upon reaching the monastery, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and a sense of spiritual tranquility. Explore the monastery’s shrines and learn about its fascinating legends and history.

Return to Paro and spend the evening at leisure, reflecting on your journey.

Day 5

Paro – Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to Bhutan as you transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure flight. Take with you the memories of a unique and enriching experience in the Land of the Thunder Dragon, leaving with a deeper appreciation of Bhutan’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Safe travels!
